Family Owned & Operated Small Business
Roxie Hardy is the proud owner of Hardy's Ribs LLC, operating the renowned Hardy's BBQ Food Truck & Catering in Montgomery County, MD, as well as Prince George's County, Howard County, and Arundel County. Along with her family, she is dedicated to bringing the most flavorful, authentic barbecue to their community. In 2012, Roxie and her late husband, Corries Hardy, took a giant leap of faith when they both left their careers with Montgomery County Government and Children’s Hospital to pursue their dream of owning a business. Food has always played a significant role in their lives, and barbecue became a way to bring people together. Corries Hardy's late grandmother, Mozell Johnson, was a major inspiration to him. Her influence lives on through the Spicy Mozell Sauce, which he named in her honor. It remains one of their customers' favorite sauces to this day. Though Corries Hardy passed away in June 2021, his legacy continues to shine brightly through Hardy’s BBQ. Corries was a proud veteran who served four years in the U.S. Army and a proud graduate of the University of Miami, where he earned an NCAA National Championship Ring in football in 1991. In 2021, Hardy’s BBQ Food Truck was re-established, and the family continues to honor Corries’ passion for crafting the finest BBQ. Roxie Hardy now leads the business with the same dedication and care that she and her late husband shared. Along with their three sons — Joshua, Jonathan, and Xavier — Roxie proudly carries on the family’s tradition of serving high-quality, flavorful BBQ. At Hardy’s BBQ, we believe in letting the natural flavors of our meats shine. We carefully season each dish with unique spices and herbs to deliver a truly exceptional BBQ experience. Our customers love our food so much that they keep coming back with friends and family. We don’t need fancy advertising — our customers are our best promoters. They keep returning, sharing the love for our Authentic BBQ. Hardy’s BBQ is a Black-owned, woman-run business, and we take great pride in being a part of the vibrant and diverse local community. As a female business owner, Roxie Hardy is committed to continuing the legacy of excellent barbecue while empowering her family and others to reach for their dreams, just as she and Corries did. The fire still burns, and the BBQ legacy is alive and well. |
